SOCOM Plans Solicitation, Industry Day for Follow-On Geospatial Analysis Contract

The U.S. Special Operations Command has issued a draft request for proposals for the second iteration of its contracting program seeking contractor support to exploit, process and disseminate geospatial intelligence from traditional and nontraditional data sources.

SOCOM plans to host a virtual industry day on July 7 to discuss the Joint Geospatial Analytic Support Services II contract and expects to release the final RFP in the last week of this month, according to the presolicitation notice posted Wednesday.

CACI International (NYSE: CACI) performs incumbent work under the five-year, $179.9M JGASS contract the company won in March 2016.

The primary role of JGASS analysts is to help the command examine full motion video and imagery from intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance platforms.

They will also help manage and update GEOINT analysis infrastructure with emerging technology.
