Godspeed-Backed Crimson Phoenix Expands Contract Portfolio With Cyberspace Solutions Buy

Crimson Phoenix, a platform company of private equity firm Godspeed Capital Management, has acquired Cyberspace Solutions as part of efforts to expand its customer relationships and gain access to prime contracts with the Defense Intelligence Agency and U.S. Special Operations Command.

Scott Crane, an intelligence industry finance executive, has been named chief financial officer of Crimson Phoenix as part of the transaction, Godspeed said Monday.

Ross O’Rourke, CEO of Crimson Phoenix, said the highly trained and cleared employees of CSS will help strengthen the company’s data-driven intelligence strategy in support of national security objectives.

Latham & Watkins acted as Godspeed Capital’s adviser and Chertoff Capital advised CSS in the transaction.

In November, Godspeed launched Crimson Phoenix as a new platform company focused on providing artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics capabilities for USSOCOM and the U.S. Intelligence Community.
