Bechtel-Led NAS JV to Continue Flight Simulation Complex Support Under $250M Air Force Award

Bechtel-led joint venture has received a $249.8 million contract modification from the U.S. Air Force for the continuation of flight testing and sustainment services for the Tennessee-based Arnold Engineering Development Complex.

National Aerospace Solutions‘ work will encompass delivering a range of tasks, including test operations, technology development, equipment and facility sustainment, capital improvements and some support services, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

In June 2015, NAS initially secured a $1.5 billion contract for test operations and maintenance of the AEDC, the world’s largest complex of flight simulation test facilities.

The new award has elevated the total potential value of the original contract to $2.5 billion.

NAS is expected to carry out the extended work through June 30, 2024.
