Greg Hayes: UTC, Raytheon Want ‘Platform Agnostic’ Tech Portfolio for Future Combined Firm

Greg Hayes, chairman and CEO of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTC), has said that both UTC and Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) agreed on implementing a "platform agnostic" approach for technology offerings of the future merged company. The two contractors signed an all-stock deal that will create a systems provider across aerospace and defense segments.

Pratt & Whitney Receives $3.2B Modification on F-35 Propulsion System Production, Delivery Contract

United Technologies Corp.'s Pratt and Whitney has secured a $3.24B contract modification to produce 233 propulsion systems for the F-35 program. Pratt and Whitney will provide 56 F135 propulsion systems to the U.S. Air Force, 10 to the Navy, 24 to the U.S. Marine Corps and 143 to non-defense and foreign military sales customers, the Department of Defense said Friday.
