Navy Seeks Proposals for ‘Snakehead’ UUV Prototype Dev’t Contract

The U.S. Navy has issued a solicitation for a contract to design, develop and fabricate two prototypes under the Large Displacement Unmanned Undersea Vehicle program. The program executive office for unmanned and small combatants at Naval Sea Systems Command expects to receive proposals for the LDUUV program, also called Snakehead, in early 2021.

Four Firms Awarded Prototype Dev’t Contracts in Support of MDA Space Sensor Program

Four companies have won separate contracts from the Missile Defense Agency to come up with payload design prototypes for the Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor Program. The Department of Defense said Tuesday Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) and Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) each received a $20M firm-fixed-price contract, which includes risk-reduction demonstration for signal-chain processing.
