Seven Firms Land Spots on $990M DIA DORE2 Contract

Seven companies have won positions on a potential five-year, $990M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide data collection and management support services for the Defense Intelligence Agency. The Virginia Contracting Activity issued the solicitation in December and received eight bids for the Data Science, Operations, Requirements, Exploitation and Engineering program, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Navy Eyes Next-Gen Frigate Design, Construction Contract Award in July

The U.S. Navy plans to award in July a contract to design and build its first next-generation frigate, Defense News reported Tuesday. The competitors for the FFG(X) program are Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII); Austal USA; Fincantieri; and the team of General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) Bath Iron Works subsidiary and Navantia.
