Mark Safran, a 17-year veteran of BAE Systems' U.S. subsidiary, has joined Dewberry as associate vice president of geospatial and technology services. He will concurrently serve as a senior program manager based in Dewberry's Fairfax, Va., office and brings more than three decades of business development and program management experience in the spatial domain, the company said Tuesday.

Lockheed Secures $348M Contract Funds for F-35 Special Tools, Test Equipment Production

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a three-year, $348.2M U.S. Navy contract modification to fund the production of special tools and test equipment for lot 12 F-35 jets. The Naval Air Systems Command is obligating the full amount of the modification from Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and non-Department of Defense partner and foreign military sales funds, DoD said Tuesday.

Report: Maxar’s Space Tech Business Draws Interest From Leonardo, Thales

European conglomerates Leonardo and Thales are considering a joint bid to buy Maxar Technologies (NYSE: MAXR) subsidiary that develops technology for space and terrestrial applications, Reuters reported Tuesday. Leonardo CEO Alessandro Profumo cited satellite antenna technology as a technology area of interest in MDA.
