Five Companies Win Spots on $835M Air Force Helicopter Maintenance IDIQ

The U.S. Air Force has selected five companies to help the service branch maintain helicopters, aircrew flight equipment and weapons under multiple-award $835M contract. Contractors will compete for task orders to provide maintenance support to Pacific Air Forces, AF Global Strike Command,AF District of Washington and Air Education and Training Command, the Department of Defense said Monday.

DoD Creates New Office to Oversee Space Policy; David Norquist Quoted

The Department of Defense established on Thursday the office of the assistant secretary of defense for space policy in accordance with the fiscal year 2020 National Defense Authorization Act. The creation of the new position “is a change of the civilian oversight of the space enterprise that aligns with the establishment of the U.S. Space Force and U.S. Space Command,” said David Norquist, deputy defense secretary and a 2020 Wash100 Award winner.

KPMG, EY Win $322M in DoD Audit Support Contracts

KPMG and Ernst & Young have won separate five-year contracts worth $322.2 combined to help the Department of Defense's inspector general office audit financial statements. KPMG received a $224M contract to perform audit work for U.S. Army on a labor-hour basis and EY secured $98.1M to do a similar task for the Defense Logistics Agency, DoD said Thursday.
