Boeing (NYSE: BA) will manufacture 12 more KC-46 aerial refueling aircraft for the U.S. Air Force under a $1.69B contract option. The award for the sixth KC-46 tanker production lot covers licenses, data, subscriptions and a flat file, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

Boeing (NYSE: BA), General Atomics' aeronautical systems business and Kratos Defense & Security Solutions (Nasdaq: KTOS) have received separate two-year contracts worth $77.8M combined to develop prototype unmanned air vehicles for the U.S. Air Force's manned-unmanned teaming experimentation initiative. All three companies will aim to build UAV technology to serve as testbeds for an autonomous core system concept under the service branch's Skyborg Vanguard program, the AF Life Cycle Management Center said Monday.

The U.S. Air Force has selected 12 companies to support construction projects at Wright-Patterson AF Base in Ohio under a $247M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. The branch received 21 offers for the multiple-award IDIQ and is obligating $2,500 each to the winning contractors at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
