Eight U.S. carriers have secured contracts from the General Services Administration to provide discounted airfares to federal travelers during the government's 2021 fiscal year. Airlines will offer pre-negotiated and firm-fixed-price rates beginning Oct. 1 through the GSA's FY 2021 City Pair Program, the agency said Tuesday.

The General Services Administration has issued the solicitation for the 8(a) STARS III governmentwide acquisition contract, the agency announced Monday. “I am very proud of GSA’s work in developing the STARS III GWAC with a contract ceiling of $50 billion, more than twice the size of STARS II,” said Emily Murphy, administrator of GSA and 2020 Wash100 awardee.
