A BlueHalo subsidiary has booked five contracts worth more than $130M combined to help the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory develop technology platforms for space domain use. Applied Technology Associates said Thursday the cost-plus-fixed-fee contracts have a potential ceiling value of more than $400M, four of which fall under the lab's Space Technology Advanced Research initiative and the remaining award is for the third phase of its Small Business Innovation Research program.

Air Force Issues Draft Solicitation for Potential $499M C4ISR Prototype Development Program

The U.S. Air Force has released a draft solicitation for a program to develop, test, demonstrate, integrate and deliver prototypes in the areas of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance using Agile procurement methods. A beta SAM notice posted Thursday says the Air Force Research Laboratory plans to award the Open Technology and Agility for Innovation program as an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity-type other transaction agreement for prototype projects with a ceiling value of approximately $499M, project ordering period of five years and project performance of up to two years.
