Reggie Brothers

Dr. Reggie Brothers, a 2021 Wash100 Award recipient, is a dynamic chief executive officer with expertise in science and technology, business development, and innovative management in both the public and private sectors. For 20 years, Dr. Brothers has produced results for a number of government organizations and continues to use his experience across all forms of business. Through hands on leadership and growth-based decision making, he has built an extensive career that led him to his current role as CEO of BigBear.ai. Dr. Brothers served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research at the Department of Defense. There, he was responsible for a science and technology portfolio with the purpose of helping DHS operational elements and the nation’s first responders achieve their mission objectives. He also held the role of Under Secretary for Science and Technology at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where he was responsible for oversight of DoD laboratories to ensure the long-term strategic direction of the Departments Science and Technology programs.
