Harris Receives Second Army Manpack Radio Order Under $12.7B IDIQ; Dana Mehnert Quoted

Harris (NYSE: HRS) has been awarded a second low-rate initial production order to supply the U.S. Army with tactical radio systems as part of a potential 10-year, $12.7B contract awarded in 2016. The new order falls under the Handheld, Manpack and Small Form-Fit indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and precedes an operational test the service branch will conduct, Harris said Thursday.

Tetra Tech, Stanley Consultants to Provide Architect-Engineer Services in Army Transatlantic Middle East District

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has selected Tetra Tech and Stanley Consultants for a pair of five-year, $46M contracts covering architectural and engineering services. Both contractors will support USACE projects within the agency's Transatlantic Middle East District areas of responsibility and mission boundaries, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Boeing Receives $194M SOCOM Rotary-Wing Aircraft Delivery Order

Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a $194.2M delivery order modification to provide MH-47G multirole heavy-lift helicopters to the U.S. Special Operations Command. The company will deliver six renew-build and one new-build aircraft to address SOCOM's sustainment requirements for heavy assault, rotary wing aircraft, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) has secured a potential five-year, $687.1M contract to help modernize the lead ship of the U.S. Navy's Ford class as part of early service life support work. HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division will support continuous and planned incremental availabilities, shock trials and continuous and emergent maintenance of USS Gerald R. Ford, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Sev1Tech has won a five-year task order to help the Department of Health and Human Services expand utilization of cloud computing services at an HHS component responsible for occupational health services across the federal government. The Federal Occupational Health agency issued the task order under the Next Generation IT Services blanket purchase agreement.
