Honeywell International

Honeywell International is a multinational conglomerate headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company mainly operates in aerospace, building technologies, safety and productivity solutions, and performance materials and technologies (PMT).

On March 29, 2022, Data Breakthrough Awards recognized Honeywell International as the “Business Intelligence Provider of the Year” for its Honeywell Forge Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solution. The company was listed as one of Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies in the same year.

On September 8, 2022, Honeywell secured a contract to produce and supply spare parts for KC-46A Tanker Fleets of the US Air Force until October 2027.

In 2020, Honeywell secured a contract to enhance the software and hardware of the US military and its foreign military partners. The agreement is a modification to the Defense Microelectronics Activity’s ATSP4 contracts commenced in 2016.

BAE Systems PLC is a national security company specializing in armaments, security, and aerospace services based in London, United Kingdom. It currently employs 90,500 employees in 40 different countries across the US. Its BAE Systems Saudi Arabia arm partners with a range of organizations to provide in-country support.

BAE Systems is a primary developer and provider of armored vehicles, artillery systems, cybersecurity, intelligence, naval shipbuilding and repair, and electronic warfare, sensing, and communications equipment to the US Department of Defense (DoD) and other foreign military departments.

BAE Systems has secured significant deals with different military divisions and federal agencies, making it one of the largest contractors of DoD. One of its biggest contracts was developing the weapon system for the US Air Force’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (IBM) project.

It also provided supercomputing abilities, high-speed network communications, and computational science expertise to DoD engineers and scientists.

 

Science Applications International Corp.

Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) is a Virginia-based company whose mission is to partner with different civilian and federal agencies and commercial organizations to promote national security and citizens’ well-being through innovative technology-powered solutions.

SAIC takes pride in its comprehensive portfolio covering defense, aerospace, engineering, information technology, modernization, and mission solutions. The company primarily serves the defense, healthcare, space, and intelligence sectors.

On September 16, 2022, SAIC won a modification contract to provide maintenance support for the US Navy’s integrated afloat and ashore tactical networks. SAIC is committed to this agreement until July 23, 2023.

SAIC also snagged a blanket-purchase deal from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on December 15, 2022. SAIC is tasked to test, evaluate, and provide data analysis of TSA’s airport screening equipment and non-screening systems.

The current SAIC Inc. is an offshoot of its parent company, which renamed itself Leidos in 2013.

Leidos Holdings, Inc. was conceived in 2013. However, it carries over 50 years of experience in defense, technology, aviation, and biomedical research from its former incarnation, SAIC. Since 1969, Leidos has worked on establishing a safer and healthier world through engineering, science, and information technology solutions.

The Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, as well as the United States Intelligence Community and non-government organizations, work with Leidos’ expertise to foster safety, security, and efficiency in their missions.

The Defense Information Systems Agency contracted Leidos Holdings to work on its Fourth Estate Network Optimization (4ENO). Leidos will improve the project’s IT system, command and control solutions, and related technological infrastructure to enable warfighters’ combat capabilities.

As a biomedical research company, Leidos was one of the chosen to fulfill the Defense Health Agency’s contract for providing health-focused medical research to the military. Leidos’ work will cover infectious diseases, radiation effects, rehabilitation, and medical simulation technologies.

The DoD granted Leidos the 2018 Nunn-Perry Awards for being instrumental in the development of equipment, software, weapon systems, industrial bases, and other advancements to propel warfare tactics and success.

In 2019, Leidos won the ACT-IAC’s 2019 Award for its “Lifesaving CT Opioid Detection” platform. Leidos developed this program to innovate detection methods for narcotics and other chemical substances in parcels and US airports; the program will also be used to address the country’s opioid crisis.

Peraton Inc.

One of Peraton’s crucial and most recent contracts is the modification deal for developing secure radio frequency transmitters and receivers to enable future secure military tactic communications for the DoD.

On April 14, 2022, Peraton secured the Army Software Development Contract. Peraton was tasked to design and advance software for the US military’s sensors, operators, and weapon launchers.

Peraton Inc’s efforts for efficiency and ironclad defense led to awarding bodies recognizing the company as a prime federal IT government contractor. From 2018 consecutively to 2023, Executive Mosaic awarded Peraton’s CEO and President Stu Shea the Wash100 Award for his leadership.

Peraton has also been recognized as one of the largest government technology contractors in the Greater DC Area by the Washington Business Journal since 2021.

L3Harris Technologies Inc.

L3Harris Technologies is a prime provider of microwave weaponry, surveillance systems, electronic warfare, wireless equipment, tactical radios, and night vision apparatus. The company supplies these products to space, sea, land, cyber, defense, and commercial agencies.

L3Harris Technologies’ proficiency in designing and manufacturing cutting-edge machinery helped it become a trusted contractor of several US government agencies. Despite having only been founded in 2019, L3Harris Technologies has secured high-profile contracts worth millions and billions of dollars.

On December 13, 2022, L3Harris Technology was awarded a deal by the US Army Communications-Electronics Command to support reconnaissance, surveillance, and intelligence capabilities of the DoD and intelligence community.

L3Harris Technologies has also been a supplier of modern radio systems to the Department of Defense since the 1980s. In April 2022, the company won a to supply advanced SINCGAR radios under the US Army’s Combat Net Radio modernization program.

In November 2022, L3Harris Technologies received Popular Science’ “Best of What’s New” award for its VAMPIRE system. This avant-garde equipment is designed to fit vehicles with cargo beds and turn them into portable precision kill systems that can target air and land threats.

Raytheon Technologies Inc.

Raytheon Technologies is one of the largest multi-domain contractors in the United States. Recently, on March 23, 2023, Raytheon received a contract for the production and supply of the US Navy’s over-the-horizon weapon systems that defend against threats on land and sea. This deal is a modification to an earlier contract the US Navy granted in 2018.

In November 2022, Raytheon Technologies was chosen by the US Army Contracting Command to get hold of equipment and spare parts and provide support services for the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems program. Raytheon’s supplies and work will enable the Ukrainian military to detect and counter missile and drone offenses from Russian forces.

General Dynamics also scored a contract to upgrade, maintain, and support existing infrastructures and networks in the US Air Force’s bases in Europe.

General Dynamics is also recognized for its executive team. Executive Mosaic granted its prestigious Wash100 Award to three of the company’s executives: Chris Brady, President of Mission Systems, Amy Gilliland, President of GDIT; and Phebe Novakovic, Chairperson and CEO of General Dynamics.
