DHA Issues RFP for Medical & Dental Readiness Services

The Defense Health Agency’s Contracting Division-Professional Services has requested proposals for a potential $1.6 billion firm-fixed-price, cost-reimbursable contract to provide medical and dental readiness services.

Remote Health Readiness Program-4 Contract

According to the notice posted on SAM.gov Thursday, the selected vendor will provide medical, dental and behavioral health services under the Remote Health Readiness Program-4 contract. The beneficiaries of the service include members of the reserve components, active components in the TRICARE Prime Remote program, Department of Defense civilians and Department of Homeland Security personnel.

Under the single-source, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the selected vendor will provide assessments, physical exams, diagnostics, laboratory services, audiology and optometry services, immunizations and dental exams and treatment. These services will be available through group events, in-clinic appointments and virtual health.

Services will be provided in all 50 U.S. States, including the District of Columbia. The contractor will also deliver services in Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa territories, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands. A contract modification is necessary to extend services to additional outside the continental United States, or OCONUS, locations, including Germany and Japan.

The contract has an initial base period of three to six months, which starts after a transition period that will not exceed nine months. Aside from the base year, the contract has nine 12-month option years. The period of performance can reach 10 years if options are exercised.

The ordering period is expected to start in the first or second quarter of 2026. Interested contractors may send their proposals by April 18.
