Lockheed Awarded $1B Navy Integrated Combat System Engineering Support Contract

Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) rotary and mission systems business has secured a potential seven-year, $1.05 billion contract to help the U.S. Navy integrate a combat management system across the Surface Force.

The defense contractor will provide systems engineering and software integration services for the Integrated Combat System supporting the Navy and Coast Guard, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

The contract has a one-year base period valued at $23.3 million and six option years.

Work will occur in Alabama, California New Jersey, Maryland, Rhode Island and Virginia through September 2030, if all options are exercised.

Naval Sea Systems Command received two bids for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract via a competitive acquisition and will obligate $3.9 million in fiscal 2023 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
