CBP Soliciting Bids for Border Infrastructure Design, Construction

Customs and Border Protection is looking for contractors to design and construct infrastructure along the United States-Mexican border and provide related technology requirements.

In a SAM.gov notice for the CBP solicitation, the Department of Homeland Security arm said it plans to award an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to several companies for border infrastructure and technology work over a five-year period.

An initial task order will be competed for design-build construction while succeeding TOs will provide for border barriers and other infrastructure, monitoring systems, utilities and site support services.

Projects under the multiple-award IDIQ are estimated to cost between $50 million and $400 million.

Responses are due Jan. 10.
