Army Requests Proposals for Automated Installation Entry Follow-On Acquisition

The U.S. Army has begun seeking bids for a potential $293.8 million follow-on contract to procure commercial-off-the-shelf technologies for the service branch’s enterprise installation access control system.

The Automated Installation Entry Next procurement effort covers the deployment of the AIE system to additional Army installations outside and within the continental U.S. and the insertion of new COTS technology on previously deployed systems in CONUS, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, according to a notice posted Monday on SAM.gov.

AIE Next also includes program management, technology insertion, cybersecurity and logistic support
planning services.

Each installation will use AIE to enhance security, optimize guard force utilization and improve authentication procedures for individuals looking to access the military site.

Interested companies have until Jan. 19 to respond to the solicitation notice.
