Lockheed Receives $632M F-35 Software Development Contract

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a two-year, $632.1 million contract from Naval Air Systems Command to create software builds and conduct developmental flight tests for the F-35 program.

The company’s aeronautics segment will provide logistics, maintenance, engineering and material services to U.S. and international military customers, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

Domestic customers under the cost-plus-incentive-fee contract are the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and the Air Force.

The award also includes support for F-35 sea trials of the U.K. government to fulfill a foreign military sales requirement.

Eighty-one percent of the work will be conducted in Fort Worth, Texas, and the remaining 19 percent will occur in other locations within the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
