Former Vectrus CEO Ken Hunzeker Joins SparkCognition Government Systems Board

Ken Hunzeker, former president and CEO of Vectrus (NYSE: VEC), has joined the board of directors for SparkCognition‘s subsidiary that develops artificial intelligence technology for government and national defense applications.

The retired Army lieutenant general will serve on the board of SparkCognition Government Systems, where he brings more than four decades of combined military service and federal contracting industry experience, the company said Wednesday.

Hunzeker took the helm of Vectrus in September 2014, when it became an independent publicly traded company after its separation from Exelis, and led the standalone government services provider until early December 2016.

He joined ITT Corp. in 2010 as vice president of government relations for the defense and information solutions business and was appointed president of the mission systems division at Exelis in April 2011.

The other SparkCognition board members are Amir Husain, the company’s founder and CEO; John Richardson, a retired Navy admiral who served as the 31st chief of naval operations; Robert Work, former deputy secretary at the Department of Defense; and John Allen, a retired Marine Corps general who formerly commanded the International Security Assistance Force and the U.S. Forces-Afgha.
