Precision Aviation Group Buys Velocity to Expand MRO, Manufacturing Capabilities; David Mast Quoted

Precision Aviation Group has acquired Velocity Aerospace Group for an undisclosed sum to broaden its avionics and manufacturing, designated engineering representative and sub-assembly capabilities.

Frisco, Texas-based Velocity offers aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul and manufacturing services and runs three Federal Aviation Administration-certified repair facilities in Van Nuys and Burbank in California and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that deliver capabilities in avionics, multilayer circuit board assemblies, interior lights, fire protection, electrical systems and cockpit panels, PAG said Tuesday.

David Mast, president and CEO of PAG, said the addition of Velocity’s next-generation avionics MRO centers in south Florida and southern California through the transaction will enable PAG to improve customer service delivery.

“These locations employ 140 personnel, perform over 25,000 annual repairs, and operate out of over 110,000 square feet of MRO facilities. I am excited about the collaboration of these facilities in terms of leveraging our avionics expertise, infrastructure, and our focus on next generation avionics repair solutions,” added Mast.

PAG provides value-added services and products for aerospace and defense industries and has 16 repair stations as well as services and sales facilities in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Brazil and Singapore. The company delivers MRO and supply chain platforms and services for rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft.
