Boeing Eyes Supplier Partnerships as Company Offers Super Hornet, Growler Platforms to German Military

Boeing has issued a request for information to more than 10 Germany-based companies regarding potential development, manufacturing and support services for the Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler aircraft the U.S. planemaker is offering to the German armed forces.

The Chicago-based aerospace and defense company has moved to expand its industrial partnerships in Germany and forecasts a $4 billion in-country sustainment program if the foreign nation procures the F/A-18  and EA-18G platforms.

According to Boeing, its military aircraft offerings could support the German air force in air-to-air and surface-to-air operations and domestic suppliers will gain the chance to participate in jammer development efforts for the Growler.
