Former National Security Adviser HR McMaster Joins C3 AI Advisory Board

H.R. McMaster, a retired U.S. Army lieutenant general and former national security adviser, has joined the advisory board of Redwood City, California-based artificial intelligence software company C3 AI.

“Enterprise AI is important to national security,” McMaster said in a statement released Wednesday.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to support the C3 AI team’s vital work to improve defense capabilities and preserve peace through strength.”

The 34-year Army veteran is a senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, a business graduate school lecturer, the Japan Chair at the Hudson Institute and chair of the Center on Military and Political Power at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.

He also authored the books “Battlegrounds: The Fight to Defend the Free World” and “Dereliction of Duty: Lyndon Johnson, Robert McNamara, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Lies That Led to Vietnam”

The Potomac Officers Club is planning an in-person event for its 2022 Artificial Intelligence Summit to provide the GovCon community with networking opportunities and insights into AI advancements. Visit the POC Events page to learn more about the Feb. 16 event.
