Marines Order $169M in Additional BAE-Built Amphibious Combat Vehicles

BAE Systems‘ land and armaments division has received a $169.3 million contract modification to manufacture an additional 33 amphibious combat vehicles for the U.S. Marine Corps.

USMC exercised options under the ACV production contract with a potential value of $3.35 billion, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

The branch will obligate $169.3 million at the time of award of the modification using fiscal 2022 procurement funds and expects the company to complete work in August 2023.

Funds will cover costs associated with full-rate production, fielding and support services.

The Marines initially procured 36 FRP vehicles from a BAE-Iveco team in December 2020 for approximately $184 million to support ship-to-shore operations.
