Riverside Research Launches Platform to Provide App Developers Access to Remote Sensing Data

Riverside Research has unveiled an online development and test platform meant to provide application developers access to commercial remote sensing data to support governmental, academic and industry research and development efforts.

The Commercial Innovation Center introduced at a symposium in St. Louis is a virtual development platform that enables researchers and developers to build, integrate and test applications in a cloud-based environment.

Partners can also access shared tools and services, secure DevOps, demonstration capabilities, software, hardware and other IT infrastructure through the CIC, which could also facilitate geospatial intelligence, measurement and signature intelligence and multiple intelligence R&D activities.

“The explosive growth and evolution of commercial platforms will continue to drive breakthroughs and uncover key insights for top national security and DoD challenges. The CIC provides the ecosystem to fuel these revolutionary discoveries,” said Mike Nelson, vice president of intelligence and defense solutions at Riverside Research.

Arlington, Virginia-based Riverside Research is a nonprofit organization that advances scientific research in support of national security goals. It focuses research on various areas, including machine learning and artificial intelligence, electromagnetics, trusted and resilience systems and optics.
