Raytheon, Industry Team Developing Tactical Ground Station for Army Precision Targeting Efforts; David Appel Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 7, 2021 — Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) and its industry partners will build a ground station for long-range precision targeting under the U.S. Army’s Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node program, ExecutiveBiz reported June 29.

The TITAN system will be developed by the Raytheon-led team to provide targetable information to defense platforms through data integration from space and high-altitude, aerial and terrestrial sensors.

“Long-range precision targeting requires the utmost accuracy delivered in real time. Having the right technology is essential, but having the mission know-how to integrate, deploy and manage a system over time efficiently and cost effectively is entirely different,” said David Appel, vice president for command and control digital solutions at Raytheon’s intelligence and space business.
