Phil Robinson, a three-decade veteran of the aerospace and defense sector, has been named vice president and chief security officer at McLean, Virginia-based satellite relay system developer SpaceLink.
He will oversee the company’s strategic and tactical security functions and brings to his new position years of technology, operations and data protection experience, SpaceLink said Monday.
A Webster University graduate, Robinson previously received recognition from the Department of Defense for his work in security programs.
SpaceLink also appointed Robert Conrad, former president and CEO of aerospace engineering contractor LJT & Associates, as vice president for NASA and civil space business development.
Conrad has supported government satellite missions and gained knowledge of tracking and data relay satellite system, space communications and satellite ground operations during his industry career.
