Jacobs Holds Spot on Army IDIQ for Military Design, Construction Services; Tim Byers Quoted

Jacobs (NYSE: J) has secured a position on a five-year, $249 million contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to design facilities and infrastructure for various military construction projects within the South Atlantic region.

Task orders under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract primarily cover U.S. southeast milcon support services for Department of Defense agencies and programs, the company said Wednesday.

Tim Byers, senior vice president and general manager of Jacob’s federal and environmental solutions business, said the company intends to demonstrate its technical experience at Army and Air Force bases through the contract.

Jacobs is among the 16 contractors holding spots on the multiple-award contract DOD announced on April 6.
