David Young Named CTO of Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions; Mike Kahn Quoted

David Young, former vice president of advanced program development at Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) space segment, has joined Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions as chief technology officer.

He will coordinate with four operating divisions within CAES to implement a technical strategic roadmap, introduce research and prototyping efforts, spearhead new business pursuits and bolster technical program exchanges with customers, the company said Tuesday.

Young previously spent more than 11 years at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) in senior management roles that covered strategy, business development and engineering functions supporting NASA and Department of Defense.

The aerospace sector veteran is a recipient of the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Scientific Notable Achievement, NASA’s Group Achievement Award and the National Science Foundation Fellowship.

Mike Kahn, president and CEO of CAES, said Young brings business and technology experience as the company aims to provide customers new systems designed to address mission requirements.
