DLA Issues $189M Option Under Bell Boeing V-22 Tiltrotor Support Contract

Boeing's (NYSE: BA) joint venture with Textron's (NYSE: TXT) Bell subsidiary will provide engineering and logistics support for U.S. and Japanese V-22 Osprey military tiltrotors under a one-year, $188.6M contract modification from the Defense Logistics Agency.

DLA awarded Bell Boeing Joint Program Office the second option period of a firm-fixed-price requirements contract with one base year plus four option years, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Fiscal 2021 through fiscal 2022 Air Force, Navy, Special Operations Command and foreign military sales funds are being used on the award.

Bell Boeing JPO received a separate $379.4M firm-fixed-price requirements contract last year to maintain V-22 aircraft for the U.S. Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps.
