The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded TriWest Healthcare Alliance a potential $5B contract to set up and maintain a network of health care providers and practitioners throughout the state of Alaska.
VA announced the Community Care Network Region 5-Alaska contract award in a notice posted Thursday on the beta SAM website.
The contractor will manage and track quality outcomes; pay and process claims to improve health care experiences for veterans; use data and performance metrics to improve services; provide customer service; and act as a third-party administrator to deliver managed health care services, according to a presolicitation notice posted in April.
TriWest also won the potential $26B Community Care Network Region 4 contract in August 2019.
