Donna Knutson, former deputy director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Environmental Health and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, has joined Guidehouse to provide business strategy advice.
She has three-decades of experience in public health programs and recently supported the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the CDC Office of Director at the beginning of COVID-19 response efforts, Guidehouse said Friday.
Her government career also includes time in the CDC Office of the Chief Financial Officer, terrorism prevention and emergency response office and the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control.
She led the coordination of a $900M fund for prevention and public health programs authorized by the Affordable Care Act.
Knutson received the 1990 Ohio Health Educator of the Year award for her service at five local health departments.
