Google (Nasdaq: GOOGL) has been selected by the Department of Defense's innovation arm to create a system for agency personnelĀ to secure applicationsĀ and web services across multiple cloud computing environments from cyber threats.
The company said WednesdayĀ it will provideĀ a cloud management technology for the Defense Innovation Unit toĀ centrallyĀ manage workload through the GoogleĀ Cloud Console platform and support network throughput forĀ as many as 500K users and 1M endpoints.
TheĀ system will be built to help DIU controlĀ access in real time, monitor a network and track record changesĀ while running apps onĀ Google Cloud,Ā MicrosoftĀ (Nasdaq: MSFT) AzureĀ and Amazon Web Services.

Daniels added that the company helped pioneer theĀ "zero trust"Ā security concept and deployed network protection approaches worldwide.
DIU's platformĀ will also include features to support telework such as low-latency teleconferencing and automated integration with on-premise information technologyĀ environments in addition to other cloud services.
Google noted it will build the system uponĀ the Anthos app management,Ā IstioĀ service communicationĀ and Netskope cloud security tools.
