TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 12, 2020 — The Naval Information Warfare Systems Command awarded Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) a potential eight-year, $7.7B contract to modernize and maintain shore-based networks being used by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps around the world, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The company said Thursday it will provide global network and data management services to the Department of the Navy under the Next Generation Enterprise Network-Recompete contract's services portion.

“Under the enterprise construct of NGEN-R, we look forward to unifying and fortifying existing networks while providing cost-efficiencies to the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps,” said Gerry Fasano, president of Leidos’ defense group and a 2020 Wash100 winner.

“Our clear-cut past performance in network modernization and transformation enables us to deliver immediate and enduring value through NGEN-R," said Daniel Voce, a senior vice president and operations manager at Leidos.
