DLA Exercises $219M Option on Bell Boeing V-22 Military Aircraft Support Contract

A joint venture between Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Textron‘s (NYSE: TXT) Bell subsidiary will continue to support the U.S. military’s V-22 Osprey aircraft under a one-year, $218.7M contract modification from the Defense Logistics Agency.

DLA exercised the first option of a potential five-year contract with Bell Boeing Joint Project Office for logistics and engineering support to the multimission tiltrotor platform being used by the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Bell Boeing JPO received a $379.4M contract last month to help the three service branches maintain V-22s.

Work under the exercised option runs through Nov. 30, 2020.
