TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 23, 2019 — American Systems has been named in the 2020 Military Friendly Employers list for its efforts to provide work opportunities and support to former military service personnel, ExecutiveBiz reported Sept. 5.

This is the second year in a row that the company has received this honor, with high marks in culture and commitment to aid veterans through various programs, American Systems said Sept. 4. Around half of its new employees in 2018 had some form of military experience.

"American Systems is proud to support our nation’s military through our long-standing work in national priority programs," said Peter Smith, president and CEO of American Systems and a three-time Wash100 winner.

The Military Friendly team evaluates companies annually and recognizes organizations that support the military community.
