TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 15, 2019 — Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) recently worked with the Missile Defense Agency, Boeing (NYSE: BA) and other companies to demonstrate an intercept of an intercontinental ballistic missile target performed by the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense system, ExecutiveBiz reported May 3.

Jacobs, under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions contract, provided integrated support for the GMD salvo test across all phases, which sought to advance the development of this critical U.S. homeland defense system, the company said May 2.

“We are proud to support this first-of-its-kind test and the MDA national defense mission with research and development; system level test and evaluation; operational testing; and other mission support services,” said Steve Arnette, senior vice president for the aerospace, technology and nuclear division at Jacobs.
