Cubic to Equip Navy’s MH-60S Helicopters With FMV System; Mike Twyman Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 21, 2019 — A Cubic (NYSE: CUB) business unit will supply a modular full-motion video platform for the U.S. Navy’s MH-60S helicopters under a new contract from the Naval Air Systems Command, ExecutiveBiz reported Feb. 14.

The company said Feb. 13 Cubic Mission Solutions’ technology, which features its Dual Channel Modem and FMV exploitation software developed by Sierra Nevada Corp., will work to expand the Navy MH-60S fleet’s operational capacity for transmitting and receiving visual data.

“[FMV] capability is critical to the ever-increasing mission complexities of the MH-60S operating environments,” noted Mike Twyman, president of CMS.
