SSL to Work on Environmental Defense Fund Smallsat Design Project; Richard White Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, January 16, 2018 — SSL will design and establish requirements under an Environmental Defense Fund contract for the development of a small satellite that will work to monitor methane emissions from oil and gas plants, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

Maxar Technologies (NYSE: MAXR) said Thursday its SSL business will collaborate with sister firm DigitalGlobe for technical input on the MethaneSAT payload design in support of EDF’s larger effort to understand and address climate change.
