Raytheon to Create Mideast Cyber-Focused JV With Saudi Aramco; Dave Wajsgras Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, December 28, 2018 — Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has entered into an agreement with Saudi Aramco to establish a joint venture that will offer cybersecurity technologies and services to customers in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries, ExecutiveBiz reported Dec. 17.

The oil and gas company said Dec. 14 it inked a memorandum of understanding with Raytheon Saudi Arabia to deliver cyber defense software and hardware as well as conduct research and development via the JV in support of the former’s suppliers, clients and affiliates.

“This MOU is an important step in creating a joint venture that we see becoming the cornerstone of cybersecurity defenses in the region,” said Dave Wajsgras, president of Raytheon’s intelligence, information and services business and a four-time Wash100 awardee.
