Navy Taps Lockheed, ERAPSCO for Potential $221M Sonobuoy Supply IDIQ

ERAPSCO and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) have been awarded spots on a potential $220.8M contract to supply the U.S. Navy with sonobuoys.

The service intends to buy up to 18K AN/SSQ-125A units through the issuance of delivery orders under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

ERAPSCO, a joint venture of Sparton (NYSE: SPA) and Ultra Electronics, will perform work at facilities located in Florida and Indiana. Lockheed will carry out tasks in Manassas, Va.

Naval Air Systems Command received two proposals for the IDIQ via a competitive acquisition process.
