Lockheed Presents Concept for Reusable Crewed Lunar Lander

TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 5, 2018 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has unveiled a new concept for a reusable spacecraft that could operate with NASA‘s planned Lunar Orbital Platform-Gateway in support of future crewed missions to the moon and Mars, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

The company said Wednesday the single-stage lunar lander it presented at the International Astronautical Congress is designed to transport four astronauts and 2K pounds of cargo from the Gateway for a two-week stay on the moon’s surface without the need to refuel.
