DynCorp to Continue Navy, Marine Trainer Maintenance Support Under $173M Award

DynCorp International has received a $173M contract modification to help the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps maintain three aircraft models used for basic flight training.

The company said Thursday it will provide organizational, intermediate and depot-level maintenance support for 287 T-6 Texan, 54 T-44 Pegasus and 16 T-34 Mentor platforms through September 2019, DynCorp said Thursday.

Work will occur at naval air stations in Texas and Florida, as well as other locations across the U.S.

“The T-34, 44 and 6 aircraft are relied upon by the Navy and Marines for developing foundational skills that are integral to a pilot’s future,” said Joe Ford, president of DynAviation.

“We are honored to continue our support for this important program.”

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division awarded the modification.
