Siemens’ Federal Arm Wins $172M Task Order to Design Energy Conservation Systems for Navy

Siemens‘ U.S. government subsidiary will design and install energy conservation systems at three U.S. Navy facilities located in Italy and Spain under a potential $171.5M task order.

The Defense Department said Wednesday Siemens Government Technologies will modernize boiler plants, chiller systems, motors and water and lighting systems at Naval Station Rota, Naval Support Activity Naples and Naval Air Station Sigonella.

SGT will also measure, verify, operate, maintain and replace systems under the task order awarded through a multiple-award energy savings performance contract.

DoD noted that SGT will use funds from a private financing initiative to implement the project, with completion predicted for October 2039.
