SSL-Built Comms Satellite Performs Post-Launch Maneuvers on Schedule


TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 25, 2018 — An SSL-built communications satellite has begun post-launch operations following its deployment Sunday as part of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket liftoff from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The Maxar Technologies (NYSE: MAXR) company said Monday the Telstar 19 VANTAGE satellite it built for Telesat has performed planned maneuvers, including the unfolding of its solar arrays and firing of the main thruster to move the spacecraft to its final geostationary orbit.
