MDA Raises Lockheed THAAD Field Support IDIQ Ceiling to $725M

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a $164 million contract modification to continue field support services for the Missile Defense Agency‘s anti-ballistic missile defense system.

The modification would increase the ceiling value of Lockheed’s Terminal High Altitude Area Defense Field Support contract from $561 million to $725 million, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

Lockheed’s missiles and fire control business provides post-deployment software and forward stationing support, product assurance and logistics, security and engineering services under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

MDA expanded the scope of work to include the International Engineering Services Program and Field Surveillance Program activity.

The duration of contract ordering period remains from March 25, 2010, through March 31, 2019.
