Lockheed, DARPA Conduct Integrated Multi-Platform Operation Demo for System-of-Systems Effort

TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 16, 2018 — Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) Skunk Works division has collaborated with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to conduct a series of flight tests in an effort to demonstrate integrated operations between air, space, land, sea and cyber platforms in contested environments, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The company said Friday the effort — which supports the agency’s System of Systems Integration Technology and Experimentation program — sought to verify interoperability between a C-12 aircraft, a flying test bed, a ground station and flight test aircraft, and showcased the STITCHES integration tool’s ability to enable data transmission between those platforms.
