LMI has added Teresa Carlson, vice president of Amazon Web Services‘ worldwide public sector business, and Lisa Disbrow, former U.S. Air Force undersecretary, to its board of directors.

Carlson and Disbrow will replace Pat McGinnis, a 14-year LMI board member who retired in May, the company said Tuesday.

Carlson, a 2018 Wash100 recipient, is a more than two-decade innovation and change management executive who previously held leadership roles at Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and Lexign and worked in the health care sector as a VP, business manager and practitioner for 15 years.

Mike Daniels, LMI board chairman, said Carlson’s business expertise, strategic vision and thought leadership would help the company advance growth initiatives.

Disbrow, who has more than 30 years of experience in military policy and national security, spent over two decades in the Air Force where she previously served as acting secretary and assistant secretary for financial management and comptroller.

She served as special assistant for policy implementation and execution to the national security adviser at the White House and vice director for force structure, resources and assessment on the Joint Staff.

Disbrow is a recipient of several Distinguished Civilian Service Awards, Legion of Merit and the Air Force Commendation Medal.

David Zolet, LMI president and CEO and a 2018 Wash100 recipient, said Disbrow would bring to the company her Air Force experience and knowledge of national security opportunities and challenges.
