Lockheed to Start Low-Rate Initial Production of Joint Air-to-Ground Missile System

TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 29, 2018 — Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) Joint Air-to-Ground Missile has received a “milestone C” decision from the Defense Department’s defense acquisition board, allowing the company to commence the low-rate initial production of the weapon system, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

The company said Wednesday the board granted LRIP approval for the JAGM program after the missile completed months of flight tests that evaluated its functions and performance.
