General Dynamics Vet Chris Pogue Joins Maxar’s MDA as Govt Division President

Chris Pogue

Chris Pogue, a General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) veteran, has joined Maxar Technologies’ (NYSE: MAXR) MDA business as president of the newly created government division.

Pogue will directly report to Mike Greenley, MDA group president, and oversee defense, enterprise information technology, Earth observation systems and government space robotics business lines, Maxar said Tuesday.

Greenley said Pogue will help drive business growth as head of MDA Government and meet government clients’ mission needs through collaboration with Radiant Solutions, DigitalGlobe and SSL to advance innovation in support of the new space economy.

Pogue worked for eight years at General Dynamics Mission Systems as vice president of public safety and security solutions and VP of mission systems international.

He previously served as president of defense and professional services at CAE and prior to that, he served in the Canadian air force for 18 years.

MDA also formed a new commercial division to manage several business lines such as commercial space robotics, payloads, antennae and electronics and nonspace products.

The establishment of MDA Government and Commercial divisions is part of the business’ move to meet client needs and align with the market.
